8 puts us in striking distance. We'll need some help though.

I think 6 or 8 are both bullhsit! Bama had one loss to a pathetic 3 loss ole miss and was still ranked 4th. We have 1 loss to a team that will end up being number one very soon and we get dropped all the way out of top 4????? I just don't get it!

By resume' shouldn't okie state now be above Ohio State? What the hell has Ohio State accomplished this season?

Clemson
Bama
Okie State
Ohio State
Baylor
LSU
Notre Dame
Stanford
Florida
Oklahoma

That would be my top 10. Clemson, Bama, and LSU have wins over top 10 teams.

If we win out we are probably in. Losing the first weekend in Nov helps. I'm thinking two teams in the current top ten end up undefeated.

We win out and I believe we are in as well. A few of those teams higher than us will lose.

This isn't the age of the BCS or ap polls. The committee doesn't just slide you up if you win and someone else loses. LSU will have to pass the eye test as well as overcome the lack of an SEC title if Bama wins out. That's going to keep LSU out no matter what anyone else does in most cases.
