Great and touching tribute to Mike that has been linked before.

Is it just me, or does that look like Mike V at the 44-45 second mark? That cat looks like a full-blooded Bengal with a smaller nose than VI and a single stripe pattern on his visible side rather than Mike VI's beautiful double-stripe pattern.

What a great fricking cat. He just had a huge personality. What a loss.

Yes, it's too much to expect that Mike VII have the same engaging and playful personality.

Not that he'll hide in the bushes, but will likely be more standoffish with the public.

I'd settle for him making up for that by letting out full-throated roars in the dead of night that are heard all over campus.

Was 1987 and we were camping out for tickets to an upcoming Boston concert at the Assembly Center...we were all drinking, having a good time, and just basically being stupid freshman at LSU.

Fast forward to maybe 2 or 3am and a lot of people had dozed off and the crowd was definitely very docile at that point. Well, that big fricking tiger (Mike IV I believe) decided he wanted to roar as loud as he could.

This was before the fancy habitat and we probably weren't 30-50 yards from him at most. There wasn't one person awake after that and I think some people needed to change their underwear at that point. Later, it was cool to talk about and still is a great memory, but at that moment it was fricking frightening!

Here is one of my personal vids of Mike. I think this was from last year sometime.
