Are the ratings for afternoon games that much better than for night games?
Maybe it is because of my LSU indoctrination, but I prefer to watch the night games on TV. That leaves my Saturday afternoon for other things.
Am I alone in this?

cant answer your question but i am the same way. The time of the Alabama game was perfect saturday. Was able to get back from the LSU game and relax on the couch.

No. I think it's safe to say most prefer night games. The afternoon games are decided by CBS (see the CBS and SEC tv deal) and LSU has no say so if their game is chosen to play in the 2:30 time slot. If given the choice, I think alleva and any LSU fan would choose night games every week

What we LSU fans want isn't important to CBS. No surprise there.
I am curious as to what the difference in afternoon vs night ratings are. There are often some really interesting night match ups, like Ole Miss/Alabama.
