I know it is early and Tropical Storms can change paths a hundred times, but why isn't any talking about the elephant in the room. This better not screw up my travel plans to Orlando.

Here is an update from CNN:

Good point. But the elephant hasn’t entered the room yet….. This storm development is moving fast and I’m sure many more folks will be watching this now.

Here’s a good website that consolidates a bunch of data sources in one place: LINK

Is this legitimate or are we freaking out about nothing?

Could impact the area early next week but we dont play until next Sun so nothing to worry about at all.

It might arrive earlier and it might not pan out, but it has a 90% chance of forming into at least a tropical storm. The timing and direction are hard to predict right now, but models show Central Florida is a target. Orlando is more on the Atlantic coast and not the Gulf Coast, but it could effect flights. Hopefully, if you assume 7 days, it would arrive Wednesday or Thursday, but if it becomes a hurricane, it could effect flights on Thursday or Friday for all of Central Florida, including Orlando. It should be long gone by Saturday and not effect the game on Sunday. Hopefully, the predictions are wrong for travel purposes.

It's the rant. The answer is almost always freaking out about nothing.

If people would bother paying attention, instead of immediately running here to panic, they would have noticed that this thing will be long gone by next Sunday.

Tropical storm making a mid week landfall in Florida is going to be completely forgotten by Sunday.

The storm will be gone by the weekend and is predicted at this time to be heading towards the Tallahassee area. ETA Thursday, and the game is on Sunday. Shouldn't be an issue.

It just wouldn't be an LSU opener without a storm threat.
