I believe you are getting some well intentioned - but wrong advice.

If your Grandfather has had the tickets before TAF, then the tickets are directly controlled by the LSU Ticket Office – not TAF. We had had ours for quite a few years and they are directly from the ticket office. TAF controls season tickets that have been returned / released / not renewed by the early pre-TAF ticket holders.

Call, or go by the office and talk to them. They are great people to deal with and I am sure that you will have no problems at all.

The first people you will speak to are some great students working their way through school, and everyone else is equally courteous and professional.

PS: No, I am not related to Alleva, and I do not give them a pile of money.

You MUST have been a former student worker in the ticket office to say this b/c those students are absolutely some of the most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. On monday, call up the ticket office and ask a student worker a question, then hang up and call back and ask a different worker the same question. You will get 2 different answers. They have no clue what they are talking about and say anything just to get you off the phone. I've had to deal w/ the ticket office on multiple issues over the years and I now ask immediately to speak to their supervisor b/c most of the student workers are not even capable of answering basic questions or performing the simplest tasks.

One point to remember re purchasing tickets directly from LSU and not TAF is that LSU receives the Tradition Fund whereas for the tickets controlled by TAF the extra charges go to TAF. My Tradition Fund charge is $950.00 per ticket this year. LSU would like to keep it all.

Nope, graduated over 40 years ago when your choice of jobs was basically, library, cafeteria, Union, or SGA.

Our difference in experiences with the ticket office might be in how we ask our questions.
