OG rarely go in first or second round.


The vast majority are in 3-7, so if Turner feels he can get selected in that range then he is on par with what he would be if he stays another year or two.

For the record, I agree, he should've stayed at least another year, but I can see how he would decide to leave if he wants to get into the NFL now so he can start working toward the second contract which is where the money is at now.


Also, all reports that I heard when this story broke about a month ago were that LSU advised him to stay.

I got it from ESPN's draft tracker. (Insider Info) He graded out 3rd behind Cyril Richardson from Baylor and Gabe Jackson from Miss. State. The grading was done by ESPN's scouting department. I have no clue how NFL scouts see him, but going by the ESPN grade, I think he made a good decision.
