No shite. If Adam4LSU is so sure Turner will be a failure in the NFL, what good what it be for him to come back.

I wouldn't say "millions" unless he reaches that coveted second contract. Hundred thousands is more like it

red, I agree and I like them getting some experience. on the other hand we can't replace Collins. hill won't hurt us with LF coming in.

pocic and alexander can both play out there....we will be fine either way imo

players leaving early puts an extra emphasis on recruiting...lsu has to hit every year or we see what happened this past year with our db's

It's the immediate gratification culture and not very many of these kids gives a damn about a college degree.

We are partly to blame for this culture. LSU has become a football factory where the true "student athlete" is the exception rather than the rule. We, the fans, pump millions into the program every year, put these kids on pedestals, and demand nothing short of championships.

exactly. I think we have had only 1 LSU OL to reach that 2nd contract since Miles has taken over. I may be wrong on that though.

I'm not claiming he will get better staying an extra year, but he may be able to pick up some better technique with a new OL coach. Will Blackwell said on the radio a few days ago that the LSU Ol guys were definitely behind other players with technique. May have something to do with why we have so few playing.

Most players in college football don't care about a degree.

Most of these athletes have worthless degrees that won't set them up for anything job wise anyway. They played ball so they are guaranteed a job in sales, insurance, or construction just based on their name

Turner will play in the pros a long time. He reminds me of warmack. He won't go anywhere near as high obviously but he's surprisingly athletic at his size and his earnings potential is easily in the millions.

Or do you actually think he wouldn't be drafted?

I didn't know a degree could only be earned in your first 4 years after high school.

He will be drafted mid round at best, but he will be drafted for sure. I want the kid to do well, I think you guys misinterpret my intentions (or I worded it wrong), but we've had a lot of OL guys get drafted that I thought would do extremely well and aren't even on a practice squad anymore.

I hope for his sake that he's the exception.

A lot haven't finished the 5 year rookie deals as well, Whitworth had a season under Miles and signed his second deal recently. Next few years will be more telling than recent history

Not a smart move......but best of luck Trai!

On one site his rating is 5 out of 190 offensive guards. That likely equates to 2-3 round.
