Good rebound win after a tough loss to A&M. You could tell in the first half they were really sluggish, although they still played pretty good D. McN isn't a bad team, they have size and some shooters.
2nd half, they came out with a purpose for sure. Defensively they really upped the intensity and started going to the goal alot more.

M.Thornton- didn't have his usual stroke from the outside. Still found a way to get some points. His D is very much improved over last year. He might owe T.Johnson alot of $ when it's all over because I think he's going to get a shot in the league when it's all over.

Taz- Outside of MT's points, Taz will be the key to this team. Didn't do much until late, but sank some HUGE mid-range shots late in the game. If he can keep hitting that shot, this team can be pretty decent.

CJ-Looked horrible early. Then in the 2nd half, appeared to have a fire lighten during halftime. Got alot more aggressive. Made a huge block late. This team needs him to play better to truly have a shot to be good and make a run in the NCAA's.

Bo- Still doing a solid job, although he got a little out of control late. Played through alot of pain it looked like.

GT- Is simply GT. Does alot of little things that help the team.

Q.Thornton- Was one of the saviors last night. He was really solid defending the big guy when CJ had early foul trouble. Also made a couple of shots when nobody else could. Solid game from him. If he can give you 10+ min's defending the bigger guys and chip in 3 or 4 pts and 3 or 4 rebs, that's huge for this team.

C.Bass- Really provided a spark when the team needed it. Gets a little out of control sometimes, but made some really nice assists. Also hit a big 3.

S.Warren- Will be a key off the bench come SEC time. Has energy and likes to play around the goal. Just needs some experience.

D.Graham- Hard to tell much. But, good to see him get some minutes early. Looks to have alot of potential.

A.Farrer- Also provided a little spark. Had a couple of careless TO's, but also had some nice hustle plays as well.

I hope you're kidding. Their defense was horrible at times in the first half last night. Specifically we kept wondering why Chris Johnson let #15 set up behind him in the post on every play. The #1 rule on defense is you never let your man get between you and the goal, but Johnson just let him each time down.

McN St had less than 30pts at the half and they were shooting the ball pretty well. That should tell you something.
I didn't say the D was great, but it was the only thing that kept them even close in the 1st half because our O was horrible.
