The LSU softball team is rolling after weathering a brutal early schedule. Looks like they may be team to reckon with in post season.

The program is headed back to national prominence.

We'll see. Ole Miss is far and away the worst team in the SEC this year.

They've won 9 out of their last 12 SEC games. That's 4 straight series wins.

Yeah, I get it but they lose games they are supposed to win (Hofstra, McNeese St and SCAR 0-8). We'll see, I would like to see them use Selman more at pitcher over Czechner.

Some of you people are clueless, this Is a very dangerous LSU team when on their game. LSU struggled this year due to youth lack of timely hits, and chocking games away at the end. LSU can compete with anyone in the country. We were step and step with #1 Oregon before they pulled away at the end, we couldn't get a timely hit that game. We have some very good wins agsinst- Washington, Stanford, Cal State Fullerton, South Alabama. LSU has won series against Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, and Ole Miss. We should have won the series against Florida but we literally gave game 1 away. LSU is getting hot people, we are much more aggressively lately at the plate. The staff has done a fantastic job, Corbello should be Friday and Sunday. Czechner is just too inconsistent. But next year is where LSU takes a huge leap, bringing in two all american players who are INSTANT impacts in pitcher Walljasper, and outfielder Emily Griggs. Czechner isn't torinas typical pitcher but she's turning things around. But everyone I can tell you this program is in fantastic shape!

and some of you refuse to see that not everything needs to be seen through a sunshine lens. i don't think anyone disagrees that this team can be dangerous, but they can also be rather lackluster as well. just three weeks ago they lost at home to McNeese. fricking McNeese. that came after taking 2 of 3 from tennessee. i agree that they can compete with anyone, but they've proven that they can also lose to just about anyone as well (e.g., Harvard, Hofstra).

do you have any clue how good McNeese is? Granted LSU has been inconsistent, but taking 9 of 12 with series wins over a couple of ranked teams is cause for optimism. They are peaking at the right time. It would be a stretch to call them a World Series contender but who knows, its all about matchups. Either way this is a team for the future.

McNeese has like 35 wins, which is more than LSU. We probably still should have won that game a few weeks ago, but this team has had worse losses.

They shouldn't have lost that but McNeese has beaten Bama and A&M too.

I never denied we were inconsistent, I said we are very young and erratic on the mound, I actually know a lot that goes on in the background in this program, why do you think I give you threads over our recruiting classes? McNesse State will go far in post season, you obviously know little about them. Don't post crap unless you have something to back it up

Selman has great velocity and movement on her pitches, she just doesn't have control, you'll be amazed what one off season can do for a pitcher. Corbello will be MUCH better next year, if she cuts down the free passes in half, then it'll only be up to our offense to score runs, Corbello is difficult to hit off of. The issue with Czechner is she only has one pitch, the rise ball. And she is struggling with control as well. Her pitches don't have a lot of movement, so its been easier this year to hit off her. Walljaspe. Is much more versatile, her and Corbello will give us a great rotation in the circle, we will be insanely scary next year at the plate, Bell, Simmons, Jaquish, Andrews, Kloss, and Landry will only get better. Emily Griggs will without doubt take over for Blades in LF, her bat is scary. 3B and 2B will have A LOT of competition, but the talent we have coming in is fantastic, I only have concerns defensively next season

Yeah, it'll be interesting because I feel like you hardly ever have a #3 pitcher in softball, so Selman might transfer (just my opinion)...this is all assuming Walljasper is as good as you say she is.

Probably the same crowd who wants to invest no money into mid-major programs, all while complaining why we aren't winning multiple national titles in them
