I believe this is why coaches like Malzahn, Freeze, Sumlin, etc., seem to be running circles around Miles both in enthusiasm and coaching in general.

Running circles around Miles?

Miles versus Malzahn:
2013 LSU 35 Auburn 21
2014 Auburn 41 LSU 7

Miles versus Freeze:
2012 LSU 41 Ole Miss 35
2013 Ole Miss 27 LSU 24

Miles versus Sumlin:
2012 LSU 24 Texas A&M 19
2013 LSU 34 Texas A&M 10

Miles is 4-2 against those coaches you mentioned all since 2012.

So, they don't coach da Tigers, so it don't count...
We only worried about how Tigers play and WIN...

So every time we don't win 13 games, we should get a new coach...and all freshmen offensive starters must be Heisman contenders their first year, if not, we shouldn't have recruited them...

I honestly do not know how some of you are able to type. That is how stupid you are. Really.

Yo, Miles is 2-0 against Sumlin and a Hiesman QB, 1-1 against Freeze (Mett lost the other game, not Miles) and 1-1 against Malzahn.

Yeah, they're running circles around him.

You people are fricking idiots.

He probably would be great. I wonder if he could do something like 7 top 15 finishes in 9 seasons including 1 bcs championship in 2 appearances and 2 sec championships in 3 appearances, because that would be pretty great. He probably would have the occasional down year though since he has shown a propensity to have one in the weak Big 10.

Well he has done better at MSU than Saban did in the weak Big 10. He always has a great defense, he develops QBs and has a good diverse offense. All with much less recruited talent than his competition (Ohio State, Michigan and Nebraska) In other words he develops the players he gets.

He's had a number of health issues due to stress at Michigan State. How do you think he'd deal with Rantards?

His health problems are in the past and were not related to the stress at MSU, otherwise his doctors would have encouraged him to stop coaching. Remember Miles had health problems as well (brain?).

As far as dealing with Rantards, he's have to do like Miles "ignore the perimeter".

Very random question. Does anyone know how many bad seasons Joe Paterno has had? Since this is a thread about some great coaches and all... Or how about Bobby Bowden or Bear Bryant? Let's make this interesting.

Since 2008, Miles has a 50% win rate against Ole Miss and Florida. We lose the games coming up that drops to 43%. Against Bama is 29%, lose to them drops to 25%. Arkansas is 66%, lose to them that's 57%. So, considering he is the best coach that ever lived to some of you, what do you think about having a losing % to 3 of our yearly west foes if this season continues to go bye bye.

I would take Freeze over Miles any day. What he has done with Ole Miss in 3 years is amazing. He will soon be 2-1 against Miles also.

Not so tough when you play in the B1G... and your OOC games are against Ohio Community College, Columbus Penitentiary, and West Cleveland Elementary JV Team

You do realize that their are juniors and seniors on this O-line correct? 4 of the 5 O-line played and started at one point last year, how did they all of a sudden go into crapper? Porter is senior and can't see the field at center, is that bad development or bad recruiting? Also, explain Jennings to me. A whole year in the program last year and he's complete garbage. Is that bad development or bad recruiting. You have two seniors at tailback who hardly touch the ball anymore and a senior at fullback. 3 senior tightends and one junior that can't catch a ball to save their lives. Is that development or bad recruiting?

The front page of todays USA Today sports section has the following in a box with graphic:
LSU's Les Miles Makes His Mark:
Most wins by FBS programs since Les Miles became coach at LSU in 2005:
Boise State-105
Ohio State- 100
Alabama- 99
LSU- 99
Comment: give the man a break!
Last years offense was the most productive in LSU football history and led the nation in 3rd down conversations. Today he should be fired after two loses??? Really?

Yeah and we ended up with three losses. Great moral victory. What bowl game did we play in again because it sure as hell wasn't a BCS bowl.

I needed to hear that. I for one have had my share of meltdowns. He'll look at my posts from the last couple weeks. Good stuff.

Yeah 7-6 and 8-5 in his first 2 seasons is pretty amazing

He is 5-0 this year with a really nice win over Bama, but there is a lot of football left to play, and Ole Miss still has to face A&M, LSU, Auburn and Miss St. If they end up 10-2 or better, then that would be "amazing."

Not sure if you've heard him speak to the press. He treats idiots like idiots. Ask a good question get a good answer. Ask a stupid question? God help you.
