It's been my impression that a team of LSU's caliber looks at the schedule and says "next". With a great head coach and top of the line talent, it doesn't matter who LSU plays. LSU can win.
Very good point Gandhi. And it's not that we don't think we can't win or that we don't say "next" a lot of the time.
The point I think most people don't realize is that we have had a very difficult schedule the last 6 or 7 years, especially in the last 3.
That can't be said for a certain other SEC West team, that, had it played LSU's schedules the last 4 years, would not have won 3 NCs. It's that simple.
Add to that the fact that the BCS's own "Strength of Schedule" factor in deciding LSU's opponent for the 2012 BCSNCG was just blatatnly ignored and cast aside.

Exactly - You can play 1 Top ten and win. But, by playing 3 Top ten teams, like LSU has to do, it's too hard to win all 3. Get it.

Not to disrupt your logic, but you have to play both Alabama and Texas A&M as a member of the west. Just as both schools have to play LSU.

I ran into a Gump today at the golf course and I asked how he thought they would do this year..
I laughed considering we have 5; TCU, Florida, Texas A&M, UGA and Alabama.
Those guys know they have a pussy schedule.
