Bad bet. Even if the passing game shines, once we get a big lead, all we will do is run run run and pound away at the clock.

I am expecting this. But run run run will get us tons of yards and points with fresh incredible RB's against a tired NT defense.

I think we will have to literally lay down on the ground to not score.

Also, to touch on this, I thought we hit the over a lot last year?

of course not, but he will run a bland predictable offense (he's good at this one) so the opposing defense will have a shot at repectability. I do think taking the over is safer than taking LSU and spotting NTS the points.

I agree, I just think that bland predictable offense will still move at will with fresh super star RB's.

Bolden shorts side option, I like that play that will add a new wrinkle to the offense no one has seen!

Bad bet?

That's going to be very close. If Miles follows his normal pattern, he'll shut it down after we get up something like 49-0, so I wouldn't feel confident that we'll score over 52 ourselves. He generally clears the bench on defense, too, though, so we usually give up a garbage-time score at the end of blowouts unless the opponent is just completely hapless like Ole Miss last year. I could see a 49-7, 52-3 or 52-7 final, though, so you have a decent shot. In fact, when we played them in 2005, we won 56-3. So, good luck.

A YEAR? We haven't had a good passing offense since 2007!

It's funny now, but when it happens tomorrow night none of us will be laughing.

And we have been known to do that. See Ole Miss last year. Hell, we even scored a TD that Miles asked them not to give us on replay just to keep the score down.

Bad bet.

Miles always calls off the dogs before 50.

We could put up 50 easily....but we won't.

LSU will be up 42-0 at half

That may be a tad optimistic. Obviously, we are the far superior team and I will be shocked if it's not a blowout, but it's the first game of the year with a new starter at QB. There might very easily be some bugs to work out in the first few series before we start rolling. I'll be happy if we're up by 21 at halftime.

Remember in 2003, we opened with UL-Monroe and looked sluggish the whole first half (I think we led only 13-0 at halftime?). That was the eventual national champions playing a complete cupcake. Then, we got things on track and won 49-7. I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar tomorrow night.

I'm fine with either scenario. Both lead to over 52
