I am excited...but tcu could easily end up being a .500 team.

Are you kidding, that defense it legit!!! They are not a .500 team, that I will take bets on.

For the most part the team played great, why should we not get fired up for that?

Well, it was very promising to have a new offensive coordinator and to actually produce on offense during that coordinator's first game. I think it's been like 12 years since we had two receivers gain 100 yards in one game. Also, just from an eye-test kind of thing, their D looked pretty good and we did really well on offense for a first game (and better than 90% of our games last year).

At the same time, it was still one game against a young team. Some people went from Mett bashing to asking how high will he go in the draft and things like that. Consistency has been the issue with Mett. He showed at times last year that he can play great, but couldn't do it consistently. If he does it consistently and we continue throwing as far down the field as we did Saturday, then the excitement will be more justified. We'll need to get some other receivers involved and throw to the RBs out of the backfield to really hit our potential. But it's exciting that we looked like a real offense for the first game against a pretty good team.

Now if we get can have a couple of good offensive games in a row, that is called a streak...
