In the 1999 regional, Jeremy Witten homered off of Ben Sheets and i got the ball after it rattled around in the bleachers. I was able to get his attention after the game and give him the ball. He recognized me in the crowd during the victory lap after we won that regional…told me to stay there until after the lap and brought me an autographed ball.

I get on their asses about all of the hot dogging and bush league stuff but when that girl stuck a mic in his face after the game last night he was so filled with emotion and caught up in the moment he could hardly talk, that was pretty cool to me

This guy’s (see below) family caught it. They were the same family who caught Hank Aaron’s ball and the Cubs Steve Bartman ball. They are all related. No subtle brag their family also wrote the “Battle Hymn of the Republic”. Tiger Droppings Thread
