I was so excited for him to snatch the opportunity to start in the 2019 peach bowl. Disappointed to see he didn't work out

That first play he made against Georgia Southern I think, where he caught the swing pass and then juked the defender out of his shoes was so exciting. Thought we were about to see 3-4 years of those types of highlights.

Hopefully he gets some good fortune at his next stop and get a chance at the league.

Thank you for everything John, despite the ups and downs i’ll always remember the catch and run TD against Bama in 2022.

Ditto. Did not expect him to get a 6th year but he's honestly one of the guys I thought might end up being a pretty good NFL RB even without having a good college career.

How many times did you fumble while playing at LSU?? Serious question because maybe you can give him some advice for wherever he ends up nex

I didn't think this was right, but ESPN career stats has Emery with 213 rushing attempts and 0 fumbles!

We're just going to pretend like he didn't "actually play" at LSU when healthy and eligible?

I can’t believe that he’s be healthy. Maybe by the end of the season?

He tore his ACL against Florida on November 11. That's usually ~9 month recovery time. That would put him theoretically ready to start the season. He may not be the same, but one would think he'll be cleared to play by the start of the season

He had 2 fumbles against UAB in 2022, 1 against Auburn, and 1 against New Mexico. In 2020 he had one against Arkansas. In 2019, he had one against Utah St. I pulled those from his game logs on ESPN's website.

Don't doubt you as I said I didn't think it was correct but here is the link. And there is a fumbles columns and I guess a lost fumbles column. 0 in each.

Emery going to break Major Oglevie's record for most seasons as a collegiate running back.

Holy crap I did not expect him to be granted a 6th year

Why?

He wasn't "granted" a 6th year. He's had this 6th year available all along. It was never even a question.

He's a grad transfer. He's graduating this semester, apparently. All he will have to do is enroll in some on-line classes that he won't even have to complete. His playing school days are over.
