I agree with this assessment but when I see people calling for CPMs head mid season while we are currently ranked #4 in the nation it just makes me laugh.

Glad to see him have a good game today. But to say, last year and this year combined, that he hasn't been struggling is asinine. Hopefully he can keep the momentum going though. Team can use it.

His batting average is .327 and his obp is .400. He's obviously had more than one good game.

Right, clearly more than one good game this season.

Those were two big hits for Beau. Both came at important times, when the Tigers really needed them.

You sound like a whiny bitch. Are you saying that your opinion is more important than anyone else? People have opinions, if you don't agree, that's fine. But don't make it seem like you are right and everyone else I see wrong.

Tired of all the bitching on this board about the baseball team. We are ranked damn 4 in the nation and you would think our record is below .500 with the way some people talk on here.

That's because most them can't comprehend the idea that this is not football. It'a marathon and not a sprint.
Manieri has forgotten more baseball than these guys know. I wonder if he has gone too much to the small ball side and neglected the power side (although we know there will never be gorilla ball again). I also wonder why we lose so many arms to injury or just not being developed. That said, pitching depth in college ball is hard to maintain.
Lastly, the parity in college ball makes it much more competitive than ever before. More programs have put money and effort into baseball. Scholarship limits mean the talent gets spread round pretty well. No team will ever dominate like LSU did in the 90's. It's a wonderful thing to have a program that continues to get to Omaha as often as LSU.

Jordan reminds me of a Pete Rose kind of guy, play anywhere, generally a hustle type of guy, looks bad 1 AB, then squares up on the next...
he was clutch yesterday, maybe CPM will allow him to be our designated batter for a few games...at least until he cools off...
