Up to the fourth quarter, TM7 has just an "average" game of just a few tackles and one interception. Alabama leads the game by six points. The announcers have written off TM7's chances of winning the Heisman and praise Bama's players. LSU has no time outs with less that a minute in the game. On first down Miles puts TM7 in as a wide receiver (what!?!). TM7 scores on a 65 yard pass play in which he broke four tackles and wins the game for LSU.

During the post game interview Miles was asked why he risked putting TM7 in on that play. Miles said that heard on TV that an defensive player had no chance of winning the Heisman so he decided to show the whole country that our defensive players are better on offense that Bama's offensive players.

defense wins championships. we have the best defense hands down. and tm7 is the best gamechanger on the defense. and yet he wont even be in the top 5 just because he is a defensive player. what the hell are all the heisman voters biased towards defensive players. its sickening

I give exactly no shite about the Heisman. Sorry, I think it is an overblown award. It's a beauty contest.

Personally, I think his chances of actually winning the award are slim to none. IF LSU runs the table, I could see him getting an invite to the ceremony. There is no doubt a HUGE performance against Bama on the national stage would really bolster his resume'.

+ 1
He is a defensive player.

but if some of the others, i.e. Luck, Griffin, etc..have only a so so year and TM7 has a huge game with AL and we go undefeated, the doors will open to the possibility

I can't say that I don't agree with this assessment. Look at all the awards that Glen Dorsey won. What was the only one missing from his collection?

Yup.Heisman.

If Dorsey collected all that hardware and the Heisman wasn't included amongst his loot, it stands to reason that the Heisman is more than likely given to the college football equivalent of the winner of Toddlers and Tiaras.
