Time to Take Fournette Off Kick Return

If we expect for him to get 20+ carries a game then I think it would be wise to not have him also doing this.
He was doing fine on kickoff, but not so well that we can't take him off to keep him fresh for the offense.

he's like in the top 15 for all purpose yardage in the nation. id keep him there until he messes up

Agree, need a short speedy guy there. He's fairly easy to key on...

I agree, i would like to see someone with a little more speed back there.

I agree on putting more speed on KO return.

eh, don't need to pad his stats that way

His yardage is so high because he gets a lot of returns thanks to our defense, and they obviously kick to him on purpose because he's not a threat to get bast the 20

Fournette is fast as hell. It's more about vision than anything else. He's not seeing that open space right now on returns but I think it'll come. He just needs to get a better feel for it. Plus, you trust him not to fumble the ball back there since he's so used to carrying it.

He looks sluggish on returns.

What about Miquel James at returner?? That kid was a burner...

I agree. He's not a good returner and just risks getting hurt.

Would love if that worked out. Isn't he a walk on? That'd make for a cool story.

I want Jamal returning kicks

Think he takes too many big hits back there and he's not exactly getting long runs. Risk isn't worth the reward IMO

I can get behind this. There is just no way LF is our best kickoff returner. Just fricking no way.

Why he can't see the open running lanes makes me
He was brutal to UF defense tonight though

Putting Fournette on kick return is probably a promise Miles made to him during his recruitment. You know, one of those "promises" you make on NCAA '14 that increases a player's chances of joining your team. I agree though, it's time to change. We have too many talented RBs to put our workhorse out there. Put Darrell Williams back there. He is quicker.

Put Miquel James back there
