We're all pissed about how we lost the game. I know we all hate on one another here, but we're still LSU fans. We wouldn't be on this forum if we weren't. If you're like me, you count down the days until every opening day, keep up with recruiting year round, and you represent purple & gold anytime you get the chance. We put a lot of time and effort in it, probably more than we should lol.

With that being said, we all bleed P&G no matter what! On to Syracuse...

It's amazing that O is pretty much the only one getting shite on for this loss.

Did everyone forget the players were the ones getting penalties, blown assignments, poor tackling and genuine IDGAF attitude? Barely any threads on KT or DJ for sucking it up.

I don't find it amazing that the head coach is taking blame for a motherfricking arse kicking from LSU's annual whipping boy.

WHere is the personal responsibility or has that gone by the wayside?

I get it that most don't like what O has done and I'm 100% in agreement that he let us down, but you win as a team and you lose as a team. This isn't pee-wee football where the players don't know what they are doing, they are 18-22 year olds who should know better and want to actually play well.

What's really amazing to me, is that everybody seems to have forgotten that before our first game even started, Orgeron said (and I'm paraphrasing) that the offensive line, and its depth mainly, was going to be a significant issue this season.

Preseason OL concerns.

quote:

"We're especially worried up front," coach Ed Orgeron said. "There's a concern."

It's not like this is news. We simply let ourselves believe we were better than we are, when we played the first two games against inferior competition.

That being said, I'm not saying "fire O" or "keep O" or any of the other thousand suggestions that have surfaced on TD since Saturday night. Im jus saying, look at what Orgeron himself said coming into the season about our offensive line. Did we just forget this??

who coaches the players? Penalties, blown assignments, poor tackling, and attitude are ALL controllable by the coaching staff.

Sure, a dropped pass or other random mistake -- those are on the players. But systemic problems -- that's on the coaches.

what's to explain? A dropped pass, a missed tackle - those things happen.

But when there are team-wide problems that aren't just random mistakes - it's a symptom of a problem with the program from the top down. Lots of penalties for multiple games is a lack of discipline, and that comes from the coaches. Different players being out of position is a symptom of poor coaching. Lack of effort is definitely a problem with the coaching staff.

Players will give a coach what he demands. This isn't hard to understand.

Put this one behind us?

There is nothing that an LSU fan enjoys as much as wallowing in his misery. Orgeron could go undefeated for the next 10 years and the usual suspects will constantly...."yeah but remember that MSU game?"......

Good luck with that. I knew this was coming it didn't matter if we lost 37-36 these O haters would have said I told you so as soon as he lost a game. Here it is. It won't stop either. They hated him when he dominated teams people swore we would lay down to last year and then after they said it wasn't a big win.

Nothing will please them at this point. We could cut all the penalties out but they will find more flaws. We could run for 500 yards and then we don't have a passing game. We could throw for 500 and we would be in trouble because Guice isn't playing and could never do that against anyone else. It's going to be excuse after excuse. O will just have to do his thing and we'll just have to see what happens. He better wins some games he's supposed to lose, and win on the road against a ranked opponent. If not it will prove their point and it will get louder and louder.

The only thing it will do is hurt LSU like it hurt for Miles. It would have been like this for any coach that came in here that everyone didn't agree with. Not everyone is going to be happy it's just said that people pay so much attention to this LSU hate. It's going to be all over ESPN, and the Internet how LSU fans hate our coaches. Which is true. Sad
