LSU actually played great defense down the stretch against AtM and got multiple stops when it counted. Very encouraging along w hitting free throws. Night and day difference from USCe game. I think it also depends on the officials. The zebras in Carolina were calling the game like it was biddy basketball. Rematch w Kentucky looking epic! Keep it rolling Tigers!!!!

Most of what ranters call "good defense" or "bad defense" really has more to do with whether our opponent hit their open jump shots, and whether the rebounds bounced to our guys or theirs.

Yesterday aTm missed a lot of shots - many of them uncontested, so...Good Defense. Oklahoma and South Carolina seemed to be unconscious down the stretch, so....Bad Defense.

I think what we say yesterday defensively is what we've seen most of the year. LSU can play good defense when we are focused committed. We'll put a couple of good defensive trips up and it's like we say "there, told you we could" then we let up and give up a couple of straight line drives to the goal or forget to properly rotate and give up a wide open shot.

Now free throw shooting, man if we shot like that at South Carolina we'd have been up late instead of behind and the game takes on a whole new complexion.

How about Craig Victor. He's gone from that 1-10 start to maybe our best free throw shooter of late.

Great start, great finish, some uneven play in between and too many missed layups but found a way to win.

Let's finish strong Tigers!
