Hate to say it but betting against the Tigers is probably the easiest money you could make this year. I would also bet opponent team overs all year. Have been sitting back just watching but starting Wednesday I will bet against the tigers every game. Damn shame.

I could have made so much fricking money if I had bet on Bama this past weekend. That line was begging to be bet on but I didn't

Betting the over might be wise, as well.

For example, the under in the Alabama game was absolutely the right bet. They play good defense, but aren't good enough offensively to completely take advantage of our shite defense.

Game was on pace to go way under, yet a flurry of points late pushed it over. Because our defense late in games, especially, is abysmal.

According to Vegas Insider, Auburn is favored by 7-7.5 points and the over/under is 168.5. That would translate to an Auburn win by a score of roughly 88-81. Does anybody think we can stay that close? And that O/U is pretty high. I don't doubt Auburn can score their 88, but can we get to 81?

I think if I were betting this game, I'd feel pretty comfortable taking Auburn and spotting 7 or 7.5 points, but the O/U would worry me.

Since I don't bet sports, I honestly don't know; is there a legal way to bet on this game online?

I agree with this assessment. Take Auburn, but I would be worried about the O/U.

I've been fading the Tigers all SEC long, but this is the spot to go with LSU unless Blakeny is out. Auburn is pretty woeful themselves and their free throw shooting, much likes ours is hot garbage. Look at how they played at Missouri, the final score isn't at all indicative of how much they struggled with a team we beat pretty handily.

My take, in a post earlier today:
quote:

I'd feel pretty comfortable taking Auburn and spotting 7 or 7.5 points, but the O/U would worry me.

And this...

Auburn 78, LSU 74

...is why (also from my post earlier today)...

Yes. And here was your reasoning:

quote:

Free throws:

LSU 10/13 (76.9%)
Auburn 19/22 (86.4%)

You got the result right. That will happen half the time even if you just close your eyes and pick a name out of a hat, so don't act like you knew something.

Whatever, I had this game circled for awhile. The free throw angle was just one I looked it, and it didn't pan out tonight. When they played Missouri they shot near 50%, one great night at the line doesn't prove anything. It was a great spot for LSU, Auburn has Bama coming up on Saturday, certainly they could have been looking ahead. Most importantly, why in the hell would you lay 8-10pts with another team that's 1-4 in the SEC? The oddsmakers got exactly what they wanted here, and that is piles of suckers going full tilt on Auburn.

Well then you may not want to comment to people who know what they're looking at. When handicapping a game, many factors are examined, and the biggest detriment to casual betters are their eyes. A lot of tonight boiled down to value, the most value was on a struggling 1-4 team who was getting near 10 points in a conference game vs a fellow struggling 1-4 team. LSU was in a must win situation after Saturday, so you knew with Blakeney suiting up and playing they would at least give it a good try.
