I know that Alleva is pushing the renovations to the outside, but will LSU ever renovate the inside of Tiger Stadium?.... I'm talking about the chain link fense that surrounds the field, maybe some hedges or something? I don't see how they could with the field being level with the first row of seats surrounding the field...hell, a new paimnt job would even help. Or could they lower the field, or maybe not because it's so close to the river? Besides the video boards, which was a waste of money because LSU apparently does not know how to work them.....and other than the upper decks, which again, apparently LSU considered those "renovations", nothing has been done to the place...Things are being done all over the SEC and Tiger Stadium is at a standstill....will anything be done to the place? not bashing, just asking....

As long as I can sit in it I'm fine. Spending enough money as it is on season tickets now.

I'd rather a track around the field before hedges.

I agree, get rid of the chain link fence and stadium upgrades are badly need to Tiger Stadium. Both the outside and inside are in need of repair/upgrades. Other schools are out in front while LSU is falling behind when it comes to stadium work.

We had hedges and they were removed. The Field was lowered and moved more to the North End Zone. The Concrete was Waterproofed and new seats were installed. East and West Upper Deck Expansions. New Scoreboards were installed. A lot of money has been spent on Tiger Stadium.

I dont know how our season tix are priced compared to Alabama, Tennessee, UGA, Florida, etc... but how is it that these other schools manage to upgrade football facilities but LSU doesn't. I know that LSU spent tons on The Box, Tiger Park and the renovations to the PMAC....is that why? The inside and outside of Tiger Stadium really do need serious work. The last two renovations have been the East and West upper decks.....meaning that us peasants havent seen didly squat in upgrades...

i think they should focus their attention on the dorm windows on the outside of the stadium by the tiger cage..the paint is chipping off and there are many broken windows. all it would take is a fresh paint job and some new window panes and it would look 100 times better

I love the inside of the stadium. The outside does need improvement but im sure that will come. Bowling it in would be awesome though im not sure how feasible it is.

I agree about the windows....there is no excuse for that....it isnt something that's hidden and they don't know about....those should have been repaired many years ago....freakin replace em with tinted plexiglass...

Look at alabama.....they have added on two huge upper deck expansions in the last five years...and neither have a pvc pipe hanging from under them...

WTF is it about LSU that they cant get things done right? The West upper deck looks like crap and The Box still has cheese cloth as the batters eye? Which brings me to the question.....you mean to tell me that someone in the athletic department couldnt have gone to home depot and bought some 2x4's and build a batters eye? give me a frickin break...half assed.

I think Aleva wants to begin the North Stadium plaza, which would look nice. The windows on the outside need replacing/painting. I would get rid of the chain link fence and brick it in like Tennessee and Auburn have done. I would also get rid of the Ads all over Tiger Stadium and just keep ads near the video boards only.

Put his arse in those endzone seats at U Dubya and see if he changes his mind. That's like having the game at U Dubya and watchin it from Portland, Oregon.

Well, maybe if someone would show the Athletic Dept how to work the video boards they could get rid of the ads everywhere..

With the size of the videoboard, there is no excuse in having ads plastered everywhere....that is, if they knew how to use it. They expanded the scoreboard but yet, the print is smaller than it was before....plus they have ribbon boards....

In 2005 a group had 60 Million in bonds ready to be sold for a project to restore Tiger Stadium. In private meetings the plan was approved, the TAF was going to be a partner to it and in May of that year the group was told that they would receive the RFP in 60 days. Well Katrina hit and that was the end of that. All politicians cared about was not messing up and the project was halted. The same group offered to build a free baseball stadium using a design that would have the stadium ringed by leased space, condos' etc and it would have paid for itself, giving LSU the pre-eminant baseball facility in college athletics. Skip turned that down as well. I could write a book on why things don't happen. Can someone tell me what miracle has to happen for things to happen?

Bond market is dead, so that project can not be financed.

The same guys that tore down the old tiger cage instead of using it in the new design are going to be in charge of fixing Tiger Stadium. You wouldn't believe what some of the designs included. It was unimaginable.

There will be many more questions like this, but the answers are hard to come by.
