Actually Doc...I am a LSU fan but attendded Penn State so I am not biased. Both are very similar in so many ways. If it were not for 107,200+ fans compared to 92,000 LSU would probably be more intimidating and louder. PSU student section is not even comparable to that of LSU.

If it's a "Vote" it's a matter of which fan base votes the most. If they really want to know, there are instruments to measure sound ya know.

Living off of History. The Tiger stadium crowd is merely half of what it used to be at best. If you walked in anytime after halftime you'd swear you were watching the high school state championships. No way its in the top 5 anymore. Don't fool yourselves, right now, a large portion of the tiger fans who attend most games suck.

Uh yes, I understand this.

However, it is a shame it is a "zero sum" game and that TAF and athletic department ticket policies actually affect the actual game atmosphere at what was once the most intimidating venue in college football.

Well i donate a significant amount to TAF. Yes it does help me improve my season ticket location. But I choose to do it because I want LSU to be successful. Some people on here would be surprised at the amounts of money other major schools ask for to have the opportunity to get tickets.

I do understand that it does at times takes a fan out the stands here or there cause of the money. But just because I donate a certain amount on my own willing doesnt make me any less of a fan.

It all depends on how well LSU plays now. In 2007 the stadium was rocking but these last 2 years with really no significant win during the regular season has just been frustrating for fans.
