In 2011, the Tiger Athletic Foundation and the LSU Athletic Department began working on Phase II of the Preservation of Tiger Stadium Campaign. Phase II focuses on the North Stadium and West Stadium Plazas. These two plaza areas will be a showcase of the Past, Present and Future of LSU Football that will highlight the heritage of Tiger Football for all to see.
In August of 2012, construction was completed on the first part of the West Side Plaza that included new gates, All-American and Hall of Fame plazas and the National Championship Plaza. Construction on the North Plaza area will begin following the 2012 football season.
