If it is true that the South Alabama tix are going to be UF tickets without a reissue, this is the best thing that could have possibly happened for the atmosphere at this game.

Here's why:

The fans that are "too good" or "too busy" to attend a rent a win game already gave up their tickets. The real fans will be in the house for this one. Maybe the stadium will even stay full after halftime!!!

Is that like the 30,000 "real" fans that came to the South Carolina game last year??

You have a month to make this game unlike last year we were given a week.

Not to mention the tickets are about $35 if I remember correctly. That's a bargain for LSU-Florida.

It is true. I just talked with ticket office--South Alabama tickets are now Florida tickets

Let this be a lesson for you. All fans should attend all games, not just the big ones.

1. I'm a season ticket, a real fan, and cannot make it on 11-19.
2. The "real" fans you described obviously aren't as committed as you think since there were thousands of unsold tickets on StubHub for well under face last I checked.
3. I've been trying to find a home for my USA tickets in Section 216 (Row 12) for months and haven't been able to even pay someone to take them.
4. Many other season tickets holders I know have been in the same boat.

So maybe there aren't as many "real" fans as you think? Or maybe they're just not real enough to buy tickets on sale for 60% under face?

There is a price difference for a rent a win vs and SEC game. It will be interesting to see how it's handled

What happens if we had tickets to the UF game this year?

I'm guessing UFag refunds us the cost of the tickets, then we're on our own if we want to buy from LSU.

eta: I have a friend who bought 4 tickets through S. Bama for the game, any chance those are still good? Unlikely, but if they are I'm booking a flight.

I sold a pair of USA tickets on the west side for pretty cheap on Stub Hub. Someone just got a nice deal!
