Nick Rumbelow pitched the 5th inning last night for the Yankees - didn't do so well (3H including a HR, 2R, 2K). Nick Goody pitched a 1-hit 9th for the Yankees today, and the guy who has just been nails all year for the Astros and one of the most pleasant surprises on the first-place team, Will Harris, pitched a 1-2-3 ninth in a 6-2 Astros win. A solid argument could be made that Harris should have been an All-Star; the roster numbers game just wouldn't allow for it. Hard for a non-closer experiencing his first year of exceptional performance to get the necessary recognition.

Btw, heard a radio interview with Will on Astros network last week, and he sounded very poised, confident and well-spoken. Slidell HS, last year at LSU 2006, Smoke's last year.

Just a little baseball island in a giant sea of football talk and anticipation (understandably).

I am a big astros fan here myself. It seems like Will is never happy to be playing baseball. I think that is how serious he is about his job.

Yes

I am an excited Astro fan living in Baton Rouge - Geaux Stors

Will is awesome and looking forward to this closing Sept month fighting Angels and Rangers down to the wire.

We have owned KC this year and I hope we get to prove that in post season. Winning the World Series as a Astro fan is liked to being a Saints fan but my wait for glory has been longer as a Stro fan.

Looks to me like he's having fun. When he shuts down an opponent in a big situation he shows emotion coming off the mound. This Astros team is having a lot of fun and has good chemistry and I think Will fits in well.

Maybe someday, TigerCliff777, maybe someday. Probably not this year, but we're getting a lot closer and having fun along the way. The pitching has been a huge surprising plus, and the addition of exciting rookies Correa and Tucker gives us hope for more like them in the future. Bregman in a couple of years?
