CM looks talented and physical against Mizzou. They'll show up to play.

CM Offense tries to create mismatches through motions out of heavy sets and is successful if the QB is not pressured. When in trouble, they will throw deep to the outside (shouldn't be a problem for us), but they mainly like crossing routes, outs and flats. Running game is stronger than you would expect and they were successful in draw plays on medium to long downs when Mizzou's defense was honoring motion in man coverage. Our defense should be able to contain, get pressure and wear them down as the game goes on. If we can get pressure on them early we will get great momentum and box them in on what they are capable of doing.

Defense runs a standard 4-3 with a lot of man coverage - pretty easy to read for a QB. Great opportunity for our offensive line & Max to get better and pick up on their delayed blitzes. They will send backside blitzes whenever possible, which can get them in trouble sometimes because of communication and ability in the secondary. Their DBs can't keep up with our WRs. Would be a great opportunity to spread it out a little bit, improve on the run game and also hit the RBs out of the backfield after spreading them out.

Great opportunity for the Tigers to put it all together before SEC play.

Good, we need to get an increase in competition because its only going to ramp up every week from here on out.

Our LBs are terrible (vs UCLA) in zone coverage with crossing patterns across the face of them.

We will see if it continues vs CMU.

Do we really?

We know that if you are kinda good you will beat our asses.....we really are talking about CMU in relation to us winning at all...we need them to be crap.

I expect LSU to win but I won't be shocked if we're down by a touchdown at some point in this game. They're infinitely better than McNeese.

I don’t think our DL will allow us to lose regardless how bad the offense looks. Maason Smith is going to get better and better each week. He and Andre Anthony looked like monsters out there last week. I hope Andre can keep it up and get himself drafted in the mid rounds. He seems like a good kid and he did things the right way hanging in there and waiting his turn. Now he’s taking advantage of it. He could be the type of player who is a much better pro than he was in college. He’s added a good 15-20 pounds of good weight and he can set the edge and play the run as well as rush the passer. If he keeps it up he’s got a role to play in the NFL.
