Those of you complaining about NIL and the ‘state of the game’, time to put up or shutup

Everyone can fuss and complain all they want, but the ONLY thing that will make a difference as far as college football goes is if people stop spending money on it and stop watching it on TV. When CFB becomes less profitable, these boosters and other entities will spend less money on it

the same people who fuss and complain about NIL and the ‘game changing’ (it HAS, and I hate it too) are the same ones that either directly or indirectly fuel this fire

So unless y’all change, nothing will

Put your money where your mouth is and stop watching it completely, or hush up and enjoy the new era of college football. We have no other choice

Ok, Thanks.
Certainly there could not POSSIBLY be any other options than the two you have outlined.
Thanks for your exhaustive research and thoughtful analysis.

What are your suggestions then? I’m just trying to have a conversation, there’s no need to be an a-hole.

Yeah, cuz we can see how the NFL has caved in to the boycotters - thank goodness those black players have been taught to behave!

I mean that's already happening. You really only have two areas of the country that give a shite anymore.

The South and Midwest.

The NE never really cared and the West Coast fans have become completely apathetic.

It's not fun to follow a sport your team has Zero chance of competing for something meaningful.

You could say, well it's always been that way for the Northwesterns and Iowa States, Washington States of the world.

But it isn't really. Those teams could get excited about making the Holiday Bowl. It meant something back then.

I was an avid playoff proponent but I was wrong I'm starting to believe.

The playoffs have ruined the game for all but about 10-15 teams.

Cincinnati will never happen again.

We've had a decade plus of Bama dominance with some LSU, Clemson and OSU sprinkled in. That's not fun for most of the country.

And now it's going to get worse with NIL.

So you don’t think people will stop watching?

I haven’t watched a single nfl game this year.

I watched every LSU game. But people will walk. I’m not there yet on LSU. But I’m not running off to go to every home game and bowl game anymore.

Actually this was the first season in my life I went to a college football game and to none that involved LSU.

I would be interested in helping. I cannot do a huge amount but would be happy to be a part of a larger group putting money together.

People have already stopped attending as much, even pre Covid.

I have every reason to believe viewers will decrease as well.

1. Young kids don't give a shite about sports. They'd rather watch youtube clips or some tool play video sports.

2. The majority of the fanbases across the country will quickly realize they have ZERO chance to win because of the portal and NIL.

3. A lot harder to be emotionally invested in pulling for kids who have ZERO loyalty to your school. You love it. They don't give a frick.

Sure Bama, Georgia, UT, A&M, USC, OSU fans will enjoy winning every year. But everyone else is gonna hate the new game.

Well, THAT’s false! I can remember Syracuse being a dominant program. Penn State won nattys in the 80’s.

Good luck. We have people “sitting on their couch” complaining about our fans not yelling enough.
