We are doing exactly what we did in 2011. One of the greatest teams in LSU history. That offense was the envy of Chip Kelly and most coaches inthe nation

We've only played one game. Let's slow down a bit

Except we have a QB. Our defense was everyone's envy, not the offensive that put up 0 on 1/9

Nobody really knows what Harris will do down the stretch one.

Defensive line depth will be the death of this team.

Miles will keep them on the field with his conservative play calling and they will be done by the middle of the season.

I think if Les gets out of the way, this year's offense can be significantly better than 2011

On the other hand, I really like this year's defense, but they are not in the same category as that 2011 D. They were just sick.

But again, if Les gets out of the way, this D doesn't need to be at the 2011 level.

I guess you cynics dont realize it is an all time LSU top 5 scoring offense.
That O pounded defenses into submissionand had the highest MOV of any LSU offense since facemaks.
I'd put my money on 2011 team given limited depth of 2015 D, regardless how O develops.

That may be true, but our defense definitely won us more games than our offense. And the offense shite the bed in the 2 biggest games of the year.

A top 5 scoring offense due to an elite defense with elite special teams play creating short fields for the offense to score.

The offense scored when there was good field position. I guess that's better than not scoring. So it did what it was supposed to do.

I love how the downvotes are 21 to 0 right now.

And the 2011 team would beat this team by 25 points.

You guys are clueless. '03, '07, and '11 TO was 5.9, 5.8' and 5.7ypp.

Trying to rationalize shitty offense is not a good thing. Playing hide the qb is not what Miles should be doing with Harris. He should be developing him and letting him learn against lesser teams so there's no repeat of 1/09/12.

Playing conservatively is one thing. Coaching scared and letting a team like Miss St determine your fate with a missed field goal is fricking stupid.

A Bo Schembechler offensive attack is nothing to be proud of. We win in spite of it and often lose when we shouldn't simply because of it. LSU is far too talented to let shitty teams stay in games.

we had a QB in 2011. unfortunately, he was forgotten about late in the year, and totally MIA in early 2012.

I think you're the clueless one. No one is denying that the 2011 offense is a top 5 scoring offense in school history. The poster is was replying to said

Then you said

Oregon averaged 6.9 yards per play in 2011.
