Are LSU fans really this egocentric? Do they really believe it only happens here? I mean seriously

See my post IRT Gary Danielson's comments yesterday on this matter. It's not just LSU as many on here believe.

+1

They've taken a lot of the fun out of it.

Security, no smoking, stricter searches for alcohol, high prices, screwed up parking.

It's more fun now to watch it on TV IMO.

History: went to almost every home game 88-05.

Yesterday's crowd looked pathetic on TV.

I'm glad the Tigers won.

I've missed very few home games since 1970; I doubt I'll make one this year.

I started a thread showing it is a national problem and not just an LSU one, no one wanted to comment and it is on page 3 or 4

Wait a second. People tailgate on campus? Lets charge them $40 a spot and gouge them some more. Average fan that wants to drive out there early to go to game and not spend $200 on one day just for himself now has to choose, hmmm.... ticket or parking. NOt saying he can't afford it but it does lower the threshold for the "screw it" factor.

tailgate at home... every spot should be pay. people will pay if they have tix. people who tailgate without tix contribute to the traffic problems after the game. I agree with some of your other points but this one I vehemently disagree.

This is a issue across college football, you can claim that others schools don't have this issue and unless you've personally been to these games no one will believe you.

Did you watch the Penn St Mich game?

Full to the very end. And PSU isn't even good.

104k.

Fans are getting nickled-and-dimed to death, so the Average Joe can no longer afford to go, and since I'm not an Alabama fan, I don't have a trailer to mortgage to pay for my tickets.

Gameday experience affecting attendance/interest level is a problem in the nfl too. They will address it because they are generally a well run business, but hd TV and the need for info on other games is just as impactful on Sundays. Add in the increasing popularity of fantasy, the nfl package on directv and red zone channels. I think I read somewhere that the nfl is requiring stadiums to have wifi over the next few years.

And look at my first post on this page, attendance has been in a decline at Penn State.... Of course a rivalry game will be packed and I can guarantee LSU vs Alabama will be full

Wow, how typical of a ranter to blame Joe Alleva for the problems surrounding tiger stadium. Did Alleva come up with the priority point system? And how do you fricksticks suggest we keep up with Alabama's 100+ million dollar budget by selling 50 yard line seats to blue collar fans? Seriously the shite I read on this board is astounding

You oppressive corporate sell out! Real LSU fans should be able to leave their home an hour before kickoff, drive right up to the stadium, park next to Mike's cage for free, take their family of four to the game and eat and drink for $15 or less.

And we should be able to do all of this while having the #1 team in the nation every year.

Anything less is unacceptable and a sign of the downfall of humanity.

Absolutely it's about the money, but to blame joe Alleva because it's about the money? What. The. frick. I've never seen so kuch disdain for a guy who's had a fantastic fun here. Oh wait, nevermind. Half of this board hates les miles too just because.

Since I've discovered the stadium club two years ago, for me its either sit there or dont go at all.

Yes I'm spoiled.

Why go to a game when I can sit at home and watch it? Why stay and get stuck in traffic after for 2 hours when I can catch the 2nd half at home? These are questions I can't refute, and I can't answer for another fan. But it's not about cost or corporations, it's about comfort and it's about selfishness, and all the things that make the generation we live in great and terrible. frick you Miley Cyrus, frick you. Whoops, old man tangent there... fricking kids and their skateboards...

I love when a member if the worst generation in American history gets uppity and labels other generations as bad.

Actually, I'm part of the Gimme Generation. But I love when other people do that too.

Can we find a spot in the grey area and shoot for being on campus two hours early?

That's not something to make fun of, right? Completely reasonable and pretty normal if you ask me.

Yet, go ahead and try that for an LSU game being directed by BRPD...
