I know that you suck on the political board so it's no surprise that you suck on the rant too.

Stop posting in this thread. You look foolish.

Tigers playing with more focus now then earlier in season.
Playing with a sense of urgency. Martin also coming on strong now.

Just look at Uconn last year.

I think it was two years ago, but the more salient point is that UConn had a low seed in its conference tournament and won its conference tourney. LSU has yet to duplicate that feat and besides, LSU will not have a low seed in its conference tournament.
Get back to us with UConn comparisons after LSU takes out Ark and U of K in the SECt.

This team hasn't fell off the hill in 7 games. Since the Bama game. This team is totally different. 5 blow out wins. 1- 2 point loss to the best team in the country. And a 6 point loss to the 32 ranked A&M when we choked down the stretch.
Keep playing sound ball. Wouldn't be shocked to make sweet 16.
And yes we are squarly in.

The Bama game was a turning point because it was the first time Jones put his 5 best players in the line up from the get-go. There was never any reason to waste time with Malone at the 5 to start and the offense just runs more efficiently with Quaterman at PG and Patterson at the 2. Outside of Ole Miss and A&M, LSU has started hot in every other game since the lineup change. The second factor is Martin starting to play with aggression.

Mickey in in a slump, but his numbers over the last 2 years are just too good to think that he won't break out of it sooner rather than later. This team wins games when A. Martin makes himself a factor on the glass and score sheet; and B. They don't lose focus. There are so many times where this team starts playing really well and then they get overconfident and lazy. No need to start launching 3's or pushing the tempo when the numbers aren't there. Jones has to be able to let them play with pace, but also reign it in when the situation dictates. I thought the last 30 minutes of the game was one of his better coaching jobs this year. Late in the first half he sped up the pace on defense which in turn sped up the game and got Ole Miss out of its zone. LSU cannot thrive in a slow-paced game. He then called a great TO late even after LSU had just got a bucket. LSU was leading big, but had just gone three straight possessions where they jacked up a 3 early in the shot clock. That TO forced LSU to slow things down ended any hope Ole Miss had for a late come back.

Man, I hope so Alt. Not sure why but he seems to be sleepwalking at times of late. Rebounding numbers way down. Need him to step it back up.

The Mizzou, MSU and AU losses are distant memories.

Yeah, while this team has been maddening to watch at times, think about the fact that UK was a bounce away from losing to Ole Miss, whom we swept and beat soundly yesterday, and UK barely barely beat us. those Mizzou, et al. losses suck, but this LSU team is definitely in "any give day" territory, which makes the tourney fun. we could also pull a UAB-loss style tourney opener ala 2005 (which was a final-four team the following year--of course the Tyrus Thomas addition didn't hurt).

that's why we watch the game.

True McLemore, nothing we can do about the past as frustrating as it is to think what could be.

When this team is motivated and focused, we are formidable. The question is can we maintain it now when we need it most?

Geaux Tigers!

We're playing good right now, but I'm still seeing the turnovers too frequently, which leads to big runs by the other team. If we wanna go deep in the tourney, we can't just hand the ball to the other team so much.

We have gotten better on TOs the last 4 games we are averaging about 12 I think which is a reasonable amount.
