Well he told us to "buckle our seatbelts" right before the press conference Monday as a safety measure for the reaction to what was sure to be monumental news and nothing happened. So yea no.

It's typical prognostication. Make certain claims but leave them just vague enough. Then, if it doesn't come to fruition, you say that something happened to mess things up, but you can't say what that was exactly.
