This Simmons debacle is bad for recruiting and JJ is to blame

This article is basically about how Simmons and other freshmen studs will most likely not reach the ncaa tournament.
This is the statement that caught my eye
"Hey superstar recruit, I know you want to forge your own path at a school you grew up loving, but the reality is you’ve got to come to Kentucky/Kansas/Perennial Top 10 team if you want a shot at the Title. "
In all honesty it's on JJ and the coaching staff. Coaching has been horrendous.

I have been the biggest pro CJJ guy there is. But his defensive scheme is probably the worst in college basketball.

It's fundamental stuff that we suck at. Defense, Rebounding, Discipline, Ft's, Shot selection.
And it's not like we are losing to Duke and Kansas,
we're losing to college of Charleston and Houston.

Not an excuse for not rebounding or playing decent defense. They play with less discipline than pickup games at the URec at times.

More excuses.
I learned how to block out, rebound, and play defense in 7th grade. It ain't rocket science.
It's simply not being addressed properly and focused on by Jones.

Most guys worth a damn aren't going to stay more than one year so it doesn't matter to the guy that just wants an NBA paycheck. If you want a title in that one year window, yes, you have only a few schools that have a good shot at getting you there.

Lsu looks more like AAU team playing basketball then a college team playing basketball
