Richt had key injuries. And yet all the media could talk about this week was how mean we are for even thinking about firing Miles.

frick ESPN

If Georgia gets Herman I may throw up.

I think people on this board would be a lot happier if they actually took this mantra to heart. I stopped watching ESPN but for sporting events years ago and stopped looking at their site and reading their magazine years before that. It's amazing what ignoring something will do to your give-a-frick levels towards it. ESPN is garbage and has been for roughly a decade.

0 nc titlr game appearances
Countless losses as a favorite
Weak sec easy schedule ajd couldn't get it done

But ya lets pretend him and miles are on same level..but lets only count la st 4 years because if go before that miles will have shown he has done it before while richt never has

2 SEC titles

no national titles

Started as HC in 2001

How is his firing more unjust than Miles again?

Because Richt had key injuries the last couple of years.

I'm not saying Richt shouldn't have been fired. But if the reason we didn't fire Miles is that the media was giving us grief and we feared a backlash then that's a damn shame. The media haven't said a peep about Richt potentially being fired despite the speculation being there.

Injuries or not, UGA and Richt have taken a bigger spill than LSU and Miles.

These 2012 to present SEC championships that have lacked both of us? That was definitely Georgia's chance to shine. While LSU had to contend with Alabama and Auburn, Georgia allowed Mizzou to sneak in and now Florida -- in what will likely be the most mismatched SEC c'ship since 2002 -- when Richt won that.

Les has 2011 to keep him relevant. He won't have it much longer. BUT, Richt has not been relevant since beating Les in his inaugural LSU 2005 and perhaps since trouncing Hawaii at the end of the '07 season. Also, he got toasted in his own backyard by WVU in the makeshift Sugar Bowl. UGA had good teams in '07 and '08, but they were always overshadowed by Florida and even Tennessee in some cases.
