As aggravating as it was, I think it was necessary to wake our guys up. This isn't Georgia that you can put up 22 on. This isn't Wichita State or whoever. This is the real deal. But as bad as we were tonight, I think we wake up and get the bats going tomorrow.

Lange was definitely a plus tonight. Hopefully Poche does what he's done all year tomorrow.

There is no "waking up" in baseball. As if Greg Diechman is gonna get out of bed tomorrow and say, "you know what dammit? I'm gonna play harder today."

It's baseball.

It was a loss. They all suck but the beauty of baseball is you get to play another day. Lsu comes out wins the next two and no big deal.

It's baseball. Nothing wrong with losing a 1-0 game at Florida against a first rounder especially with the way Lange has been pitching. The melt on here is ridiculous. We could come out and win the next 2 ending the weekend at 5-1 in the SEC. I'd be ok with winning 1/3. Historically LSU has a hard time doing any better there.

That's baseball.

Frustrating for sure with all the "untimely" at bats but that's how it goes sometimes.

Faedo and Lange were both really good.

Not getting to UF's freshman closer throwing 88-89 was the worst for me.

Tigers had some bad at bats against him.

That low strike on Slaughter was terrible call

You're right on all points. I was just responding to not being able to score on them.

Those last three at bats with a runner on 2nd were frustrating. Some iffy calls for sure. I don't think Watson took the bat off his shoulder.

The problem is UF has CWS type pitching staff just like TCU. When we play those type teams we usually don't fair well. We split 50/50 with UF and Vandy, but TCU's coach owns us the loss just shows how we usually play late in the season.

the real deal

Yea, the "real deal" nowadays is a second rate SEC team coming off a sweep by powerhouse Auburn.

It doesn't help making excuses for Mainieri.

Well I sure as hell hope that Slaughter isn't swinging at ball 4 above his head on a 3-1 count!!
