How many of y'all could have made this throw?

It’d be tough to miss behind him like that, but I’m sure I could get the hang of it.

it's like y'all are forgetting basically everything that happened in all of LSU football history before last year

This could be more of a miscommunication. I think Brennan was expecting him to set up in the middle not continue on the out.

The positive I take from this play is that Brennan actually stayed and stepped up in the pocket - for once.

from that angle it kinda looks like the receiver ran the wrong route/miscommunication

if he keeps going and Myles throws it where it's supposed to go then it's going to end poorly with that DB creeping up

looks like he should have sat in that open space and waited on the ball

Emery was like, "WTF was that?"

If that's the case then he threw it a whole second too late anyway and wayyy off target.

You serious Clark?

Look at his body language. See him clap his hands after he misses like “dammit” instead of questioning why Emory ran the wrong route?

Yep! And he seemed to do that a lot yesterday.

As a former QB, this is 100% due to timing and relation. He more than likely saw the linebacker sitting On him and collapsing on Emery. He was probably thinking Emory noticed that and would adapt his route so that he wouldn’t get his rb killed

Because our QB is no threat to run, timing and accuracy need to be exceptional. Brennan is not there today

How long have you've been watching football...

I've seen Brees throw behind receivers...

This is footwork and decision making. That ball should have been out right before Emery broke.

Watch Brennan’s step forward before the throw. An open wide step rather than stepping to his target. That’s coaching and being coachable

Looks pretty much in line with the last 15 years honestly.
