I have been saying it for years. This is just the latest incident. From football scheduling, to the Valentine eligibility problems, to the championship game staying in Atlanta, to the SEC office being in Birmingham, to the head of the officials being a Bama grad, to the officiating against LSU, when will LSU stand up and say enough is enough? Is the money and publicity we get from the conference too much to ever consider a change? Will we ever get tired of being Bama's b****?

If these are true then you need to team up with TAM or maybe Arkansas. Fla, Tenn, Georgia wouldn't let this happen if the were in SEC West. Ole Miss, and Miss State are basically there for decoration without any power.

I personally don't know if this is going to create a problem with recruiting or not. I think that alot of folks are just flat sick and tried of some of the shite that seems to go on at the SEC offices. It always seems to be one thing or another that pops up that LSU has to deal with. This particular rule doesn't seem to make any sense. That's how I feel about it anyway.

I agree with most of this. We could have done without that last sentence but I have been saying most of this for a long time. I am certainly not proposing that we leave the conference, but it seems as though we are getting screwed at every turn.

I agree with the op's sentiment. But he problem as we all know is that there is no way of changing things. Ultimately, nobody cares. Everybody goes along bc they have a good, well-paying job. Nobody is going to rock the boat. It's all about the money. People so easily forget that. As long as LSU is make great money, they aren't going to say much. I was told twice in the last week that the schools don't get enough feedback from parents. I pointed out that no one says anything bc they know nobody will listen, just like on this thread.

The officiating is horrendous whenever we play Bama.. But the SEC is still the best conference IMO

The SEC actually appealed this rule when it was inacted because they foresaw issues like this where teams had inadvertent violations. The appeal obviously failed.

Horrendous is a bit of a stretch however, I'm sure it's no accident that we always end up with Bug Eyes. It never freaking fails.

I can think of one game in the last 5 years that he didn't do and it was Hubert Owens' crew and they did a great job.

100% agree.

I would have no problem at all if LSU left the SEC

The bias is ridiculous.

No. That would be pretty ridiculous.

Year in and year out the SEC is always in it. Usually with more than one team, or even three teams.

How many SEC teams were ranked in the top 10 alone last season? I can think of at least 3.

But I do agree with you on this:

The dumb SEC office has changed very little in the last 4 years.

Bama loses their running back, QB, a bunch of defensive guys that were always a nuisance, their Biletnikoff winning WR and they're still in the top 5 preseason because of what exactly? Not saying they're not a great team but come on.

You can't be serious. Can you comprehend what would happen to the football, program at LSU if they were to leave the SEC?
