Unfortunately, it happens a lot more this year because we have a solid team that attracts hundreds of people that never watch basketball. Amazingly, these people think they are basketball savants.

Or the last 3 games have been extremely sloppy and we've been fortunate to pull out wins in 2 of them.

You seem to be implying you're a basketball guy yet you're ignoring the glaring defensive, ball handling, and 3 point shooting issues we've had lately.

We could easily be on a 3 game losing streak right now, but we have a lot of fight on this team. These issues still need to be fixed. This board is as bi-polar as the team has been lately.

It's more about seeing the potential of what this team COULD be, IMO

They are getting away with some things that will be much tougher against really good teams.

I enjoy winning as much as the next person but a few things need to be fixed or it'll end the Season later.

The Rant mirrors this team.
We can stink for ten minutes and then look like world beaters the next ten.

I have learned to stay away from this place during games, no matter what sport. I advise you to do the same. It really warps your sense of perspective.

It is like being at a game and having a guy sit behind you constantly yelling negative things after every single play (I have had this happen before at plenty of sporting events....baseball is the worst. It is like EVERY SINGLE DECISION the coach makes is wrong). It makes the game far less enjoyable.

Sports to me is supposed to be fun. I am not that guy who uses sports as a way to sit there and find everything wrong that I can see. That defeats the purpose.

It's exactly why none of them could actually be coaches. A coach needs to stay pretty level headed and not get caught up in emotion. The rant coaches would have sat Mays, pulled Naz's scholly, and sent Taylor back to JUCO. Easiest place to coach from is on the comfort of your couch.

To be fair, the defense was really bad (until OT) and LSU had a lot of dumb turnovers. You can't just ignore that fact and criticism was warranted. That stretch in the 1st half where LSU had zero ball movment was as bad as we've seen this team play in a while. I can completely understand why fans would be disgusted. It was ugly.

That said, you saw what great players can do for in the second half. For all of the heat he takes on here, I fear Wade and LSU will be lost without Waters next season. He quite literally creates much of the offense on his own. I don't know if the casual fan realizes just how good he is. We're talking maybe the second best PG in America. LSU couldn't get a stop to save their lives in the second half, so it was up to Waters (and Reid) to match MSU bucket for bucket.

Reid showed again that he's simply more comfortable away from the block. It might be time to let him venture out a bit more again.

Calling for Wade to be fired or Waters to be benched is silly. But some of the criticism was absolutely warranted. Still, this team has a lot of big time players who are simply just better than most, and when they click, they are tough to stop

I mean, maybe so...but people take it to such an extreme that it makes this board unreadable at times.

Mississippi State is a very good team. Their kids try just as hard as ours do and sometimes they are going to make plays, too.

Yeah it sucked to watch us give up a 15-0 run in the first half, but damn....these kids are human. They are going to do human being things. I think it is so silly to criticize every thing that goes wrong because things are just going to go wrong at some points.
