and they've been real fun to watch. even if they have committed more "boneheaded" plays and base running mistakes than I ever remember they have overcame them.

I have been uber critical of Dunn when the pitching staffed inexplicably took a nose dive but is seems they have recovered. I don't expect perfection (like some) but all of the walks hit batsmen was very frustrating especially when that was supposed to carry us this year. I don't know what happened but Dunn seems to have corrected it and that's all that matters. I take back my blasting him. I apologize; i'm sorry; i'm contrite, etc.

I think we have a shot at Omaha. it's gonna take a break or two but it usually does.

This has been such a fun year, even though our fans seem to forgot the expectations coming into the year.

Why do you think I've been in such a good mood lately? They've most certainly overachieved. I'm ecstatic.

Such a huge turnaround from even just a month ago, when we were 11-10 in the SEC and wondering if a regional host was even realistic. Not only did we get one, it wasn't a surprise at all that we did, and a national seed isn't out of the question either.

When we were 11 and 10 in the SEC with all those weekday losses, I admit that I thought this was probably the worst LSU team we have had in a looooong time. To hear the announcers say that both LSU and UF are big time threats to win it all this year barely a month after that is unbelievable. Coach Paul can rub fans the wrong way, but he really is a pretty damn good coach. Our fan base can be way to hard on him at times.

Or how about when we started the SEC schedule 2-5?

Not to flame, but D1 baseball had us at preseason ranked #7. Seems pretty spot on, thanks to the run we had at the end.

I usually think the "they're young" defense is a copout, but it definitely applied to this team, especially the postion players. Having to replace 7 out of 8 and finishing with that record, overcoming a bad start in conference, and despite some rough pitching (that has now come around) is outstanding.

Plus, it's great they're on a hot streak at the right time of year. They've accomplished more than i thought they would.

I get the bashing of the "tee ball legends" on here but lets not make it sound like rabalais is some guru who knows what he's talking about

I've been quietly confident in this young team since spring practice. I could see the talent they possessed and hoped that they would adjust to SEC level ball in time to compete for an Omaha run again this year. The team I watched in Hoover was a much more mature and ready team than the one I watched during OOC games in March.
