Reminds me of Michael Johnson (USA Olympic track)

I’m going to show my age here but the last LSU player I remember with such effortless speed was Eddie Kennison. Always thought he was not even thinking about the 2 or 3 guys closest to him, he was setting up the 4th or 5th guy. All without looking like he was even trying.

Don’t let me rain on your parade man. I love JD. I just thought it was a funny post just to say that JD is fast

Good runners heads remain calm. Good receivers are similar.

Because it’s not speed as much as it moves. Shiftyness and great hip motion make it hard to get him down, he is fast , but it’s deceptive, not straight line speed.
Hmm. He has super straight line speed. He simply doesn't use it unless he has to, note 85 yard run.

And to me, the 45 yd TD run was actually more enjoyable to watch than the 85 yard run.The way he just weaved between multiple defenders
That run was incredible and the real Heisman moment, it ended in the same area of the Bama TD run last year. He basically recreated the look back as he was going into the end zone too

He is so smooth it looks wired when he is running. He almost sits posture wise. Very “unnatural” gait that is fast as frick.

Not just the gliding-dude is making moves that you only see on Madden. It’s weird but I think he’s just seeing the field similar to how a guy like Bonds saw the ball.

when did you change your mind that Nuss wasnt the guy?
Posted on 11/12/23 at 5:27 pm to LSU4Life2021
Its his entire upper body control that separates him from anyone Ive seen. His ability to stabilize regardless of where his legs are moving..

It's like he's floating across the water and everyone else is swimming as hard as they can trying to catch up.

When JD showed that he was consistently playing at a high level. Something wrong with that? You can act like you knew Jayden was going to make this jump, but you didn’t.

Do you still think he can’t win the Heisman,?
Posted on 11/12/23 at 5:50 pm to Lester Earl
No, I think he can. I didn’t think he would perform at the level he has throughout the entire season. I thought he would have a couple of off games. And with LSU having multiple losses, I didn’t think he would have a chance. I was wrong about that. I’m not right on every single opinion I have, I have no problem admitting when I’m wrong

Noticed on the long TD run along the florida bench....his head does not move (no bobbing or jerking, etc) which is the sign of true speed. As someone said in an earlier post, it's like he glides. We will truly look back next year on him and how special he was!!!
I was saying he is better than Lamar Jackson last year and getting down voted into oblivion. I’m glad some of yall are waking up to the freak we have been watching for two years.
We will take a step back next year. And that’s not a knock on the next guy. That’s how good the play is we are watching right now: Generational. I said what I said

That burst of speed was nice. It was like he was figuring if he was gonna break that guys ankles and go inside or outside and burn him. He decided and kicked into overdrive.
