Other than QB, ND has talent. There should be no reason they are so bad. Got to be substandard coaching. Defense is still pretty good. I imagine if they don't get a top ten recruiting class, it will only get worse. All that talent will be gone.

I’m a golf caddy at a high end course and come across tons of ND fans. I’m pretty loud and proud about LSU. They then always ask about BK and I ride for him.
Almost ALWAYS, they start shitting on him, making fun, telling me how we are screwed…
Today, I literally had a guy calling BK names, saying how much better shape ND is in. I pointed out the obvious points that OP has made, and he basically waved it off and says they’re still on a better trajectory.

It was time for O to go, but the cupboard wasn’t empty. Thin, yes, empty - nope.
A healthy portion of this years most instrumental players are O leftovers.
Where BK has been amazing is cobbling together transfer players.
Lastly, I believe that BK will be VERY successful at LSU.
He was a home run hire imho.
