...hasn't there been talk about their coach quitting and going somewhere else.....regardless of the outcome of the CWS?? Apparently, he feels the Florida Admins don't support baseball to the level that he thinks it needs.
No shite, really?
I believe it.
Their support is pathetic.

Easy access to the fire alarm you have there. They would never expect one of their own guests at 3 AM

Bama is at least worthy of a grudging respect, not so with Florida

This.
Better start an actual fire too just to be safe

I've heard that too. Not sure how likely it is to happen, but I've seen his name come up for the South Carolina job. Much better fan/admin support there.

There are plenty of Florida fans at the Doubletree.
They probably work there

O'Sullivan would love it there.
I was gonna say he would be scary good there, but he gets just as much if not better baseball talent at UF.

Why is this some kind of shocker? The only people who think college baseball matters are LSU fans. It's just not a popular sport amongst college football and basketball.

LSU fans care more about college baseball than maybe (probably) any other fanbase in America. For the rest of the country college baseball is just a minor blip on the sports radar.
That said, you would think Florida would at least have a little more fan support than they currently have. What do you think if you are Kevin O'Sullivan? He's been at UF for basically the same amount of time as CPM has at LSU and has had almost as much success. The only difference is Paul won the CWS (even though Florida has been there more times than LSU over the last 10-11 years). Yet, while Omaha is overrun with LSU fans and the CWS has been the biggest local story in BR for a week, very few UF followers even seem to know their school is playing for a national title, or care.
South Carolina is one of those places that really cares about college baseball. It might be enticing for O'Sullivan to go to a place that might actually appreciate his hard work.

Yet here you are, a Michigan fan........ posting on an LSU board........... about baseball
Looking at your post history it's clear that your wife left you for someone in Louisiana. Get over it

Still wish the CWS was during the school year.
As a current student, it can be a pain for students to get off while at an internship that only lasts 8 weeks.
Especially when the championship series is Monday-Wednesday.

Hate to spoil your fun, but the AD just committed millions to a stadium expansion and renovation as well as for other baseball facilities.

How does this spoil anything?
There are no Gator fans in Omaha.

There are plenty. I see the games on tv. Do we travel for baseball? Probably not. I'd love to go, but I have a job and can't leave for 3 days for a baseball game (and I own my company). Im sure that's not a unique scenario, not to mention that it's not exactly close by.
