Rule clearly states that the runner at 3B should be safe for TCU. Unreal that they would overturn that. Just blatant ignorance.

What’s to keep the defense from just shoving a runner off the base to make a tag, if that’s how they’re going to rule it? fricking absurd.

That was equally as absurd as the home plate ump last night.

Kid was standing on 3rd and the OR players rolls into him and knocks him off the bag so he’s out?

Nah.

I was legit sick to my stomach watching that POS umpire last night ruin an otherwise great game.

Again, does nobody remember when Tommy White did this and they also ruled the runner out? Even after a review I believe?

Doesn't the rule state at the umpire's discretion? We even had someone post the rule on here during that game.

That's why I am wondering about the discretion language? I feel confident an obvious shove is not going to fly.

Kind of makes me not want to watch the games with how incompetent they are becoming.

It was wrong then and it’s wrong now.

Honestly though why should intention matter? What is the runner expected to do there to stay safe?

If I recall correctly, Tommy's glove pushed the runners hand off the bag which is definitely a different situation than plowing a guy off the base while he's standing there not directly involved with the action.

Having said that, I didn't agree with the call when it benefitted us either.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's right, but found it interesting both rulings were reviewed (I think) and called out.

The umpire used his discretion and called him safe. The clown in Pittsburgh screwed it up. And by the way, the Tommy White call was wrong also.

I think the Tommy White one was at least a runner sliding at the base and White diving after him.

This guy from TCU was standing still in the bag and got knocked off by a tumbling Oral Roberts defender. What are they looking at?

What's the Vegas line on this game? That could answer some questions.
