I remember back 25 years ago when Tom Osborne was catching heat from the fans and powers to be. He went through a 3 year slump ( they got blown out in several games by 20 or 30 points) and they were calling for him to be fired. He made a few changes to his staff and philosophy and won 3 national championships in the next 5 years.

Miles isn't changing his philosophy. He's not capable of that.

So you're saying we're fricked unless we make staff changes

That's the difference between Tom Osborne and Les Miles.

The fact that you think Miles would consider this let's me know you're delusional.

Look at the details of Nebraska vs. the details of LSU. Its very different.

Look at the state with the most players in the NFL per capita...look at Louisiana vs. Nebraska.

Also, remember the number of scholarships have been reduced since Nebraska was in its' heyday, and they can't give backdoor scholarships through other things.

Yes, we need to make changes. Even Saban has changed offensive strategy by bringing Kiffen in. He knows no matter how good your defense is, you are going to have a couple games a year where you will have to out score your opponent if you want to win the national championship.

Whoa now, slow your oll

Tom never lost more than 3 games in a year
Even during the "slump" years, Tom never finished lower than 3rd in conf
And in most of those 3-loss years, the 3rd loss came while playing in the Orange or Fiesta bowls

By your logic Mack Brown should still be the coach at Texas. Any coach that ever wins gets lifetime employment because he may change his strategy and assistants and win?

Think more, post less: Osborne was a statistical anomaly.

offense has ranked 94th or worse nationally in six of the past seven seasons. There's simply no excuse for such bad offense and if it hasn't changed with a complete failure of an offense in that time frame it won't now.

It was basically a 2 team conference with the exception of a few years that colorado was good.

Yeah he went and recruited speed. LSU offense needs a whole revamping. And the defense is weak too. And the special teams is awful too.

You do know that we have changed offensive coordinators 4 times already and that our offense looks the same right? You are aware that the card in Miles hand during the games is not a take out menu for Raising Canes right? But you think NOW after 11 years and 4 coordinators that Les will suddenly relinquish his stranglehold on the offensive play calling with a 5th coordinator??? WOW!!
