That website's LSU logo may be the only thing I've seen in this world more beautiful than the GOAT toonces.

As much as I would like to think LSU is that good on pass defense. We all know the numbers are skewed by Auburn and Army.

Moscona has been saying for weeks that our Rush D is worse.

Wingo is the only good player on the DL.

Jefferson is a tank. He’s better than you give him credit for.

Wingo was playing obviously hurt, he was a liability out there

Numbers only reflect SEC games.

As for Auburn - Ole Miss, Georgia, and Texas A&M have also played them.

Meanwhile Kentucky, Mizzou, Florida, and Georgia have played Vanderbilt.

Georgia, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Florida, and Mizzou have all played South Carolina (another struggling offense). I could go on.

The argument that Auburn and Army are skewing any LSU stats at this point in the season is just silly. Especially when we’ve also played Ole Miss, Mizzou, and Florida State.

That being said, our major issue has been rushing defense more than passing defense. And while I like success rate as a stat, it doesn’t always tell the full story - if you get stops for no gain or incompletions on 1st down and 2nd down, then give up a TD on 3rd & 10.. that’s a 66.7% defensive success rate. Unfortunately our defense is #11 in SEC play in opponent score % (on per-drive basis) and #10 on opponent TD %.

Every team plays teams that skew the numbers

It must have gotten to a point where he couldn’t handle playing hurt anymore. He probably would have been a liability if he kept playing without giving it some attention.
