I found this in another thread figured it needed to be on the front page.

Under NCAA Rule 9 Section 1 Article 4 Targeting and Making Forcible Contact to Head or Neck Area of a Defenseless Player

quote:

PENALTY- [ARTICLE 3 and ARTICLE 4]
quote:

For fouls in the second half: Disqualification for the remainder of the game and the first half of the next game.
quote:

If a player is disqualified in the second half, the conference has the option to consult the national coordinator of football officials who would then facilitate a video review. Based on the review, if and only if the national coordinator concludes that the player should not have been disqualified, the conference may vacate the suspension. If the national coordinator supports the disqualification, the suspension for the next game will remain.

Where is this national coordinator, and why has this yet to happen? Hopefully the pressure on the SEC by LSU fans and the media will force the SEC's hand into taking action.

Read it yourself here..

It would be funny if the national coordinator was a Bama grad as well. Bring the entire system down.

No they absolutely don't, but if this keeps going the way it is, they may not have much of a choice. This keeps looking worse and worse for the SEC.

It’s Rogers Redding. Ga Tech grad and former head of SEC officials. He’s the key to this whole thing. Hopefully LSU has quietly reached out to him.

He’s a Georgia Tech grad. But he was the SEC Director of Officials who stated there was nothing wrong with the video review of PP7’s INT

Would be best that someone gets that to a media outlet and makes damn sure it’s brought up. I never trust that someone knows something just because they should.

"On the Devin White situation," Miller wrote in the tweet, "#LSU senior associate athletic director @RobertJMunson said: "Discussions with the SEC made clear there is no process for appeal. The suspension will stand."

quote:

"LSU athletic director Joe Alleva has been on the phones with SEC officials since the targeting call was made on Devin White. There's no appeal process in place, but he's still working it," Miller said in a tweet Sunday morning. "The SEC is reviewing the call, but with no formal appeal process in place there isn't a clear path forward."

That the SEC would not want one of it’s most dominant players to be in play for a half of one of the biggest games of the season, speaks volumes about its bias.

I think with mounting media pressure and awareness due to Billboards it can happen.

I think Redding still lives in Birmingham.

He’s probably seen the billboards. Wonder what went through his head when he saw them.

there in lies the glitch in your remedy, the sec has already said they stand behind the call no matter if we appeal it or not, so they will just thank the national coordinator for his suggestion and let the call stand anyway.

getting the SEC to act in a fair and impartial manner with regards to bama is like asking the DNC to stop rigging elections, its never gonna happen

True but if the ncaa goes on record saying they support an overturning of the call the Sec will look like even bigger assholes. If they won’t overturn it, I’d still like them to look as stupid as possible for a national audience.
