Let's consolidate images and posts about the scene/ atmosphere in and around the box here. Anybody have a report on the early tailgating? Would imagine there are people setting up for tomorrow already

Somewhat related but really just another example of how the USL mind works when it comes to USL sports: their baseball stadium is being made available for watching the game on its large screen scoreboard. Tents, chairs, ice chests, etc all are permitted. However, the gates will open only 30 min before the first pitch.

Any inside guys have pics of the field? I'm sure they've started painting logos, Super Regional, etc. ESPN have any setups?

They don't want to have to pay the huge price of cleaning up after tailgating (for a free event). Pretty nice of them to do this at all.

@Easternrio Can you send some pics of the area. Those of us at work are dying to be out there. This would help fire up the Rant

I agree.

No doubt that LSU would charge and admission and not allow any food or drinks brought in so they could maximize profits.

why not? they could probably sell a few thousand tickets and a few chicken tenders if they did this for omaha games.

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would rather sit in a hot stadium and watch a game on a screen. I'd much rather watch at a bar, watch-party with friends or just at home. I'll have better food, drinks and the comfort of AC.

Lafayette isn't allowing food and drinks either, and their concessions will be open as if it was a real game. I swear if I had been in college for something like that we would have brought all the couches from our rent house out there and made a huge party of it

What is the proper way to refer to them? I realize this is a stupid question because there must be a really straight forward answer.........
