The real dilemma in rescheduling UF...

If both teams need the game to be played to advance into the a SEC championship game, they will find a way to make it happen. This is not a problem that can't be overcome.
The real dilemma is if one team needs the game and the other does not. Then the team that needs it to be played will be screwed by the other either by having to make huge concessions or by not rescheduling it at all.
As a Tiger fan, I would agree with screwing them over and making them miss a trip to Atlanta after this past week. I am sure their fans feel the same way about us. That is why the SEC office needs to make a decision before the game become crucial to either team.
Unfortunately, they appear to be gambling that it will be a meaningless game and they can move on without having to make a decision.

I think the real dilemma is if one has their division won without playing the game.

me too. absolutely shameful the way their AD handled that hurricane. IF he would have agreed to postpone until sunday or Monday, depending on the weather and need for emergency personnel, he would have done the right thing. the game still may not have been played but he at least would have tried. as it turns out it would have been played.
there is no man alive that can convince me that he wasn't just pulling a fast one.
LSU has a game on November 19th and we need to play that game in baton rouge. frick florida and frick the sec.

No they don't. The SEC will have to provide remedy if the game can't be rescheduled, they will have to go by percentages or divisional records.

I am thinking of the two cases:
1) In the event that each team can take 1st place in their division only by a win in a rescheduled game giving them a better winning percentage than the first place team.
2) The SEC rules that all 8 SEC games must be played in order to qualify for the SEC Championship game.

We should all be UGA fans on 10/29

They'll have to provide remedy to any problems as they effect LSU/Florida as the SEC failed to mitigate. I don't see how they can force either team to play the game. We might agree that UF are a bunch of idiots, but this one is on the SEC right now. They can't force Florida or LSU to play... no matter what date, time or location imo. Which is why the SEC is so quiet.
Win, sit and wait.

Only way I see this game being played is on Nov 19 if SEC pays LSU at least 5 milion to buy out S. Ala. and loss of revenue. I hope Aleva stays pat and makes SEC squirm. Not Tigers fault that Fla pussed out and didn't want to move game to BR on Sat or play in Gainesville on Sun or Mon. SEC no plan B or C, difficult to believe this would've happened on Slyve's watch.

. . . is . . .
They don't really want to play this game.

Logically, it would be insane for them to play in Florida, Louisiana, etc. It doesn't matter... they have everything to lose by playing and nothing to gain. And the SEC can't force a game in this instance but they normally could.
