How are we only 18.5 favorites against Auburn?
I'm worried we won't cover that, and you're thinking it's too low? I never thought I would see us favored by this much AT Auburn.

LSU @ UF
I will say the line will be 4-6 for LSU

If you've been betting for years with that line of thinking you must be losing a lot. Anything over 20 would invite a lots of wagers on AU @ home.

You are correct. Opening lines tell 90% of the story, not where they are pushed to.

Yes, but I'd feel much more comfortable without the hook.

I bought em down .5 point on Sportsbook Sunday night for -17.

Just curious, but do you really think whether or not we won games in 2000 and 2002 are relevant to the game this weekend??
Do you not think we have a better team, these days?
Do you not realize how bad Auburn is this year?
What happened last year is MUCH more relevant to this game than what happened more than a decade ago.

I am very confident lsu will win. All I said is that they usually play us hard at home.

because they are normally pretty good...this year, not so much

That won't happen. The Bama game is in TS at night. The line for the Nov 3rd game will be just about like last year's Nov game and BCS game. Pick +/-2

I will GLADLY take a 7-10 pt win at any SEC school on the road. We have beat Aubie just ONCE in our last 6 games played there, by only 5 points. We have lost 5 times there, including a couple of blowouts.
LSU has played nobody yet this year, and all at home.
Auburn desperately needs to pull off the big upset. National TV, home, night game versus #2 LSU. They (and their fans) will be sky-high early.
They have not played great, but they are still more talented than anyone we have played thus far. At every position, our guys will have their toughest individual battles yet this year.
We have not yet had to deal with ANY real adversity, much less in hostile territory.
We may be entering a hornet's nest at Auburn, and if we let them get up early, we could have our first real gut-check in hostile territory. Nobody knows yet how this LSU team will respond to pressure.
I'll be very happy to see improved play, steady maturity and get out of there with a solid SEC road win.
Historically at least, 20 points is a very unrealistic spread, especially for an untested LSU team in its first SEC road rivalry of the season.
I believe we are MUCH more likely to have another typical LSU-Aubie squeaker decided in the 4th quarter, than to coast to an easy LSU 20-point blowout.
Hope we completely dominate and win big, but will be surprised if we do. Auburn will be very inspired and very tough, at least early on. We will have to demoralize them in the first half, or it could be another four quarter barn-burner.

Trends are trends.. Why couldn't Matt Barkley beat Stanford in 4 years of trying? Surely they were vast improved going into it this year and Stanford was no where near as good as years past..
