As terrible as we played that last play was beautiful.

We are 1-0 after regulation

I bet Chark moved up in some scouts' eyes. Sure, he drops some very easy passes, but he has the size and speed, and he's showing he can make the clutch play.
Given the flashes he's shown, the drops have to be some mental thing, something that could be fixed. If he became consistent, he's got star talent.

I loved what Etling did and Chark's catch was great, but there were two uncalled penalties on us: another illegal shift and one of our covered receivers ran a downfield route, so illegal man downfield.

Again, mass confusion.

I have to agree...a fraction of a second earlier and it would have been one of the plays that is replayed for decades.

Sounds like something Cal - Berkeley would do.

Sounds like something LSU did.

Remember 2007....Undefeated in regulation shirts.
Still embarrassed by that.

Haven't seen Chark drop easy passes. Are you thinking of Dupre??

2, so far; maybe 3.

Last night, Etling rolled to his left to escape pressure, and made an awkward (almost looked like he guided the throw, like a pitcher trying to find the strike zone) pass to him near the sideline. Hit Chark right in the hands and bounced away. Would have been about a yd short of a first down. Think it was the first play of the last drive.

Dropped another earlier this year, near the endzone. 2 guys around him, but the ball was up, he went up and was clean (no hands around the ball or in line of vision). Again, hit both hands, and fell away before any contact.

Both of those passes were between the numbers, he got both hands out and hit the ball, had no contact until after the ball was on the ground. Basically routine completions.

Another one, I think it was him, got open on a deep route, and he took off before securing the catch. Might have been a TD had he caught it.
Again, not sure if vs JSU or Miss St.

Only 3 passes, but his sample size is small.

No. Dupre has every physical measurable you could want, but I'm trying to remember if he's shown anything his whole career that says "this guy can be great". A couple of fades early on, but nothing else stands out. There's a reason Dural has remained the main guy out there, he's making plays and Dupre hasn't.

I wouldn't be shocked if Chark becomes Devery Henderson 2.0

The drop he made last nite was thrown behind him as he was moving away from the ball...was a tough catch to make...i like his efforts, and to think his talent has been wasted the last 2 years...
